Daniel F. “Dan” Bachman passed away the evening of September 23, 2026, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital after an extended illness. He was born August 12, 1946, to the late Melvin and Louise (Burke) Bachman in Fawn Twp. Dan graduated from Har-Brack High School in 1964, where played football. He went on to further his education at Clarion University, graduating in 1970 with a business degree.

Dan was an extremely proud member of the Masonic Lodge. All who knew Dan, knew of his love for horses, tractors and dancing. While he was quite the accomplished dancer, his absolute greatest love was farming, which he continued as best he could until the very end. Dan nurtured Bachman’s Greenhouse and Nursery in Natrona Heights, from the mid 70’s, growing it into the business it is today. He was well known in the community for his generosity, developed many friendships, and adopted family through the years.

Dan is survived by his friend of many years, Edie Cressler, and her grandchildren, Naishawn, Josiah, Nyla, and Judah Reed.

In addition to his parents, Dan is predeceased by his older sister, Lynn L. Buckley.

Visitation will be held Saturday, October 3, from 1:00 - 4:00 pm at Duster Funeral & Cremation Services, Inc. 347 East 10th Ave, Tarentum, PA 724-224-1526. A Funeral Service will be held following the visitation at 4:00 pm at the funeral home.
