Alex J. Greco, 89 of Gibsonia, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026. He was born on September 4, 1937, in Tarentum, PA, to Alex Greco and Elizabeth (Hoss) Greco, and resided in Tarentum and New Kensington most of his life. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Carol (Smith) Greco, his daughter Lynne Greco Forges; his brother, Leonard Greco (Chapel Hill, NC); and three grandchildren—Nichole Mazur, Jacob Greco and Sarah Greco, all in the Pittsburgh area. He was preceded in death by his sons Vaughn and Alex, and his sister, Delores Sandrey.

Alex graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 1960 with a BS in Metallurgical Engineering. Upon graduation, he began his distinguished career at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation, where he held various positions, ending his career in 1998 as Superintendent of Melting. He was very proud of his accomplishments at Allegheny Ludlum and often spoke in the highest regard of those who worked for him.

He enjoyed traveling and spending family vacations in Cape May, New Jersey.
